MEET OUR INNOVATION DIRECTOR
Duc Nguyen, MD
Dr. Nguyen was elected as a member of Abbott Northwestern Hospitalist Executive Council in 2023. He is currently serving as the Innovation Director. He aims to spearhead and support quality improvement projects for the group and hospital.
Dr. Nguyen immigrated to the US when he was six years old and spent of most of his life in MN. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2006 and worked for Target Corporation as a business analyst before matriculating to medical school. He graduated from Howard University College of Medicine in 2011 and came back to MN to complete his internal medicine residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. He became a full-time staff physician at Abbott Northwestern since 2014. He is currently the co-chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, website developer, and H5200 medical advisor.

Dr. Nguyen’s areas of interests include informatics, clinical research, and health equity. He enjoys traveling with his wife and son to try out new restaurants and local cuisines. Some of his leisure activities include chess, photography, board games, and spending time with his wife/son.
