Often times during meetings or conferences, we would have pages from RNs or staff needing certain orders for our patients. A good number of them can likely be managed with remote orders. Having a dedicated laptop for EPIC access to review charts and place orders without the need to leave the meeting or conference would benefit both the patient and the provider.
We do not have an extra laptop, but I can leave mine in the back of the room for providers to use during the meeting. I will have EPIC open for easy access.
